In 1996, as the Summer Olympics captivated Atlanta, Kroger, the world’s largest traditional grocery retailer, sought a bold idea to stand out. Duffey Communications delivered—literally—by launching the "Kroger Spirit of Atlanta," the world’s largest blimp, to glide above the games. This innovative campaign garnered media coverage across all 50 states and 31 countries, leaving an indelible mark on the global stage.

Fast forward to today, Duffey and Kroger’s Southeast Division remain steadfast partners, elevating Kroger’s role as a committed corporate neighbor. Through community relations, philanthropy, celebrity engagements, retail promotions, media relations, and issues management, we continue to deliver impactful results. In 2017 alone, our efforts drove more than 1 billion media impressions and helped Kroger raise over $7 million for local and national causes. At Duffey, big ideas with big impact are always in motion.
