Byers Engineering recruited Duffey to illustrate how Byers' network plotting management software product, Plot Station, is used daily by large CAD (computer aided design) operations to streamline the way they plot design and engineering files.

Duffey counseled Byers to educate CAD users about Plots Station’s benefits by arranging a familiarization tour. Editors from a variety of CAD and engineering publications visited with officials from both Byers Engineering and Heery/RFI/TVS, the architectural and engineering joint venture that developed the Georgia Dome.

Following the tour, Duffey interviewed officials, developed and wrote an article, and arranged for placement with editors at targeted CAD/engineering publications. The story ran in four targeted publications. The return on investment for this activity was 883 percent. In addition, a 30 percent increase over projected sales leads was established.
