American Medical Response (AMR) hired Duffey to build visibility by generating community exposure, as well as establish working relationships with key media and policymakers. After research, Duffey developed and implemented a media/community relations program.
Duffey alerted the media, via news releases, media advisories and personal telephone calls of significant community relations activities by AMR. In addition, Duffey arranged the grand opening event for AMR’s advanced Communications Center. The firm was responsible for inviting and securing attendance by key local politicians and media, arranged for photo opportunities and created media kits.
To help in AMR’s efforts to teach children about safety, Duffey helped the company launch its “Andy the Ambulance” robot program, which visited local elementary schools, health fairs and children’s hospitals. Local, regional and national media attention garnered positioned the company as the most advanced ambulance provider in the state among residents and policymakers throughout Metro Atlanta. Events were covered by the ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX networks. The return on investment for AMR was 127 percent.
