CAPS Logistics, Inc. hired Duffey to help promote its CAPS LOGISTICS TOOLKIT™, a software system that handles logistics (the movement of people and products) on both strategic and operational levels.
Duffey conducted extensive editorial and media telephone research to determine which major trade publications and editors were most important to CAPS Logistics.
Based on the research, Duffey developed a marketing program incorporating media relations and tradeshow activities to generate awareness of the TOOLKIT among key audiences and stimulating sales leads for the company.
Duffey developed targeted news releases and media kits and provided ongoing media relations by developing and maintaining relationships with an in-depth list of contacts regarding upcoming editorial news opportunities and news release follow-up. In addition, Duffey and CAPS Logisticscoordinated an invitation-only "Block Party" for international beverage executives at InterBev, the leading industry trade show held in Atlanta.
A total of 19 national business media placements were garnered, and leads generated through publicity resulted in more than $1 million in new business, a return on investment exceeding 4,000 percent.
